1st Caribbean Islamic Finance Forum

On November 15, 2019, the "1st Caribbean Islamic Finance Forum" was held in Suriname in the Royal Ballroom of Torarica. During the forum organized by Trustbank Amanah and the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), private sector arm of the IsDB group, various panel discussions took place.

The forum started with a recitation and speeches from Trustbank Amanah CEO MS. Maureen Badjoeri and Central Bank of Suriname Governor Mr. Robert-Gray van Trikt, representative of the Minister of Finance Ms. Iris Sandel and video message from ICD CEO Mr. Ayman Sejiny.

The vice-chairman of the National Assembly of Suriname Mr. Melvin Bouva and Minister Stephan Tsang of Trade, Industry and Tourism also attended the forum. Both invitees from various organizations and persons who have registered participate in the "1st Caribbean Islamic Finance Forum".

The purpose of the forum was to promote Islamic Finance in this region and further to offer business people and policy makers a unique opportunity to network and establish business relationships with Trustbank Amanah, ICD and other leading industry representatives in Suriname and the Caribbean.
